Position Summary

This position is responsible for report development and database management related to analytics and insights that improve Kawasaki’s marketing channel effectiveness, ensuring the quality of input and output signals aligned with overall business strategies. Additionally, this position is responsible globally for managing and maintaining Kawasaki’s Global Marketing Analytics project, which supports Kawasaki Motors Limited distributorships.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead data and analytics expert supporting the cross-functional marketing division within Kawasaki.

  • Create dashboards and reports to provide managerial and executive-level insights into marketing performance across the marketing mix (web, email, social media, event marketing, lead management, paid media, etc.).

  • Integrate data from multiple sources to create relevant KPIs and measure different marketing channels, tactics, and programs.

    • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through data quality checks and validation processes.

    • Perform daily data administration quality control tasks to ensure accurate and consistent data.

  • Oversee Kawasaki’s Global Marketing Analytics program, managing user administration and road mapping future report development and enhancements.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to interpret complex data sets, generate actionable recommendations, and drive continuous improvements in marketing efforts.

  • Create regular reports and presentations highlighting key findings, trends, and performance metrics.

  • Present data-driven recommendations and insights to marketing teams, management, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Support day-to-day ad-hoc report requests to answer business questions or required findings.

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics.

Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from a four-year college in Computer Science, Marketing Science, Marketing Analytics, or a similar quantitative field is required.

 

Skills and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary for this role.

  • 5+ years crafting and developing business intelligence dashboards using BI tools.

  • Expertise in Tableau data visualization software.

  • Experience with data warehousing, data integration, and data governance best practices. Detail-oriented with the capacity to independently validate and cross-reference data and analyses.

  • Ensure data quality and downstream reporting accuracy through precise attention to detail.

  • Expertise in developing and managing reports specific to marketing analytics.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel – lookups, pivot tables, dynamic charts, and tables required.

  • Ability to translate complicated analyses into plain language, both in speaking and writing

  • Possess strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in large data sets and databases.

  • Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, analyze, problem solve, collaborate in a team environment, meet client deadlines, and function well with a high level of independence, initiative, and resourcefulness.

  • Knowledge of marketing principles is preferred.

  • Approximate percentage of travel required:  less than 5%.
