Travis Preston joins the Monster Energy Kawasaki team four rounds into the 2008 season substituting for an injured James Stewart. The 2002 AMA Western Regional Supercross Lites champion began his professional career in 1996. Last season Preston earned three top-five finishes before a shoulder injury ended his season.

2006
Preston raced in the AMA Supercross Series, earning four top-five finishes. Raced in the AMA Motocross Championship, earning an overall podium finish at Glen Helen Raceway, and taking two additional top-five finishes

2005
Preston raced in the AMA Supercross Series, earning seven, top-10 finishes. Raced in the AMA Motocross Championship, earning overall top-five finishes at Hangtown and Springcreek MX Park

2004
Preston contested the AMA West Region Supercross Lites Series, earning five podium finishes. Preston raced a limited AMA Supercross season, best result was fourth-place at Minneapolis.

2003
Preston raced the AMA West Region Supercross Lites Series, taking a win at the Anaheim, Calif. season opener and earning four additional podium finishes. Preston raced select AMA Supercross races, with his best result being fourth at Daytona Beach, Fla.

2002
Preston won the AMA West Region Supercross Lites Championship with wins at Anaheim I and Irving, Tex., and three additional podium finishes. His best overall result in the AMA Motocross Lites Championship was third place at Southwick, Mass.

2001
Preston won the Houston round of the AMA West Region Supercross Lites series. His best AMA motocross result was eighth-place at the season finale at Steel City Raceway.

2000
Preston climbed the podium with a third-place finish at the Phoenix round of the AMA  Western Region Supercross Lites Series. His best overall results in the AMA Motocross Lites Championship were 12th-place finishes at Budds Creek and Binghamton.

1999
Preston just missed an AMA Western Region Supercross Lites Series podium with a fourth-place finish at Minneapolis, his best result of the season. Best AMA Motocross Lites results were 10th place at Hangtown and Spring Creek MX Park.
