CORONA, Calif. (March 27, 2019) – Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo and Garrett Marchbanks get their chance to impress the Texas crowd this weekend as the series makes its stop in Houston, Texas. The round will also serve as the final Triple Crown of the season, a test of endurance with three 10 minute-plus one lap races. Cianciarulo enters the race 12 points ahead of second and is eager to get another win in the books. Marchbanks is hoping to overcome a 12th place finish in Seattle and grab a result in the top 10.
With four wins already this season, CIanciarulo isn’t ready to be done standing atop the podium any time soon. He narrowly missed the top step this past weekend and will use his second-place finish as fuel for the fire to get there once again.
“The ultimate goal is to be ahead at the final race, but winning is the secondary goal that helps us attain it,” said Cianciarulo. “No matter what, I want to be at the front of the race at least pushing for a chance to win - like we did last weekend. Even if it’s a second, we’ll take it if we are fighting for it. The triple crown throws a bit of an unknown into it, but I think we learned a lot last time (in Anaheim).”
The rookie Marchbanks has put in a lot of heart and desire to run up front the past few outings, but hasn’t really had a chance to put effort to paper. He’s hoping he’ll get a chance to put in three solid races for another top 10 finish, adding to his four already this season.
“The Seattle race was tough because the track changed a lot,” said Marchbanks. “Thankfully we’ll have the indoor element this weekend and hopefully can put in three good races for the team.”
The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs on Saturday, March 30 at the Monster Energy Kawasaki rig in the pits.
Saturday’s race from NRG Stadium will be broadcast LIVE on NBC Sports starting on Saturday, March 30 at 8 p.m. ET.
